Rules and Regulations
1. The objective of the awards is to honor and encourage the highest standards of creativity throughout the Pikasso networks.
Entries will be judged on the basis of three criteria; the originality of the creative idea, the quality of its execution and its suitability as a visual.
When applying these criteria, the jury will also take into consideration the relative level of creative standards in each market; privileging campaigns conceived and executed locally in terms of concepts, visuals, graphics and typography.

2. The awards consist of eight separate national competitions; Lebanon, Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Mali, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
Each competition is open to entries that have been created and produced by advertising agencies operating within the country in question. In the case of Iraq, however, the eligibility region will be extended to also include work created and produced by agencies in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Algeria, Tunis and the UAE.

3. The jury is made up of 7 members:
Mr. Alain Weill, French Expert in Contemporary Art and Advertising Creation, is the President of the Jury and nominates its members in collaboration with Pikasso.
In addition to the President and representatives from Jordan, Algeria and Tunisia, there will be 2 representatives from Lebanon and one from the agency that won the Lebanese Pikasso d'Or the previous year. However the same individual may not represent his/her agency more than once every four years.

4. The jury will meet in Beirut on February 26th, 2020. The jury deliberations will be carried out in French and English.
The Pikasso d’Or trophies will be presented at Official Ceremonies:
In Beirut: February 27th, 2020
In Amman: March 5th, 2020
In Algiers: March 2020
In Tunis: March 2020
In Bamako | TBC
In Ivory Coast | TBC
In Senegal | TBC

5. Every agency should express in writing its wish to participate and include its visuals at the Pikasso d’Or before January 9th, 2020.

6. The participation form should include the following information:
• Name of the creative agency
• Name of the product or service advertised
• Name of the creative director, artistic director, designer-editor as well as the name of the photographer or illustrator
• Translation of the Arabic text in French or English
• A brief explanation of the creative idea, if necessary (recommended for digital entries)
• The visual on a CD in a high resolution (300dpi)
All the above-mentioned information should be sent back to Pikasso before January 9th, 2020.

7. When the message is not in French or English, it is recommended that participants add a few lines to explain the concept to the non-Arabic-speaking members of the Jury.

8. Visuals promoting Pikasso networks will not be eligible for awards.

9. Visuals or campaigns for any political party will not be eligible for awards in both the Pikasso d'Or.

10. The Lebanese, Jordanian, Algerian and Tunisian jurors will not participate in voting on campaigns presented by their own agency.

11. The Jury is free not to give a prize in a category if it considers that the level of creativity is not good enough or when there are insufficient entries to justify multiple awards. The Jury may also eliminate work that it considers to be inconsistent with the spirit of the competition.

12. The Pikasso Grand Prix will be awarded to the best work entered in the competition for Lebanon only. It will be chosen from the four Gold winners in the Billboards (formerly Networks), Supersize, Digital and Mall categories. The Public service message will be excluded from consideration for this top prize. In the event that one of the Gold winners is a public service message it will be replaced by the Silver winner in the category in question.

13. The visuals must have been displayed on Pikasso mediums between January 1st, 2019 and December 31st, 2019.

14. Any jury member who challenges an entry on the grounds that it is not an original creative idea must be prepared to support this claim by showing concrete examples of similar work during the jury session.

15. To be admitted, the visuals should fulfill the following requirements:
